Description of the assignment
A vacancy has arisen for an Management Accountant to work within the UK business at our Milton Park Office, in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

Main purpose of job
Budgeting & forecasting
Support the business in the completion of annual budget, quarterly reforecasts and any other forecasts required, including co-ordination, liaison & review, demonstrating both intimacy and accuracy with the detail.
Ability to interpret business insights into a set of quantitative outputs, advising on impact.
Ensure [RF1] timescales are met & high quality of detail is achieved, keeping stakeholders appraised of progress and support requirements if applicable
Analysis and explanation of variances between Budgets and forecasts.
Review financial forecast results with stakeholders.
Assist submission of company budgets and forecasts to parent company where necessary
Management Accounts
Prepare & process accruals, prepayments & provisions
Prepare and process company cost journals including payroll.
Monthly reporting of financial results & KPI’s including commentaries and variance analysis to an agreed timetable.
Assisting with preparation and distribution of company and parent management account reports. Assist Line Manager in co-ordinating & undertaking Period end processes
Offer and provide support to colleagues where required
Business support
Provide financial advice and make recommendations ensuring compliance with parent, company and IFRS procedures.
Production of ad hoc reporting as required including governmental surveys and information requests..
Provide support and advice relating to financial systems.
Review payroll information to ensure compliance with standard costing procedure.
Assisting in company audit requirements relating to the P&L .
Other ad hoc projects
Data integrity governance
Housekeeping of projects & activities within the accounting system
Maintaining Project contract values within the accounting system.
Reviewing Order backlog periodically negative balances
Housekeeping of Timesheet entry system.
Profile
Key Attributes & Experience
- Be part/fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or qualified by experience
- Be an excellent written and verbal communicator with high levels of interpersonal skills [and the ability manage a team
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel [Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Power Query], & Power BI.
