We are currently recruiting for a Principal Civil Engineer. This is an embedded opportunity, supporting one of our key clients within the Nuclear Defence Industry.

Location wise, this is a hybrid opportunity, working from the client's site at Devonport Dockyard, on average once a month for 2/3 days.

Please note the ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance is essential, uplifted to SC prior to a start. 

Role Description:

• To manage the delivery of ancillary structures engineering work packages to the
  required scope, quality, schedule and cost.
• Responsible for managing the technical deliverables of the Structural or Mechanical Engineering packages in line with the planned deliverables agreed by the Discipline Lead.
• Participate in the problem solving for development of technical solutions to
  deficiencies or in the development of new designs.
• Developing, monitoring and reviewing Civil Engineering designs.
• Reviewing Civil design output. 

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

• Chartered Engineer ideally, registered with Engineering Council or working
  towards chartership.
• Degree qualified.
• Prior experience working on Nuclear/Defence projects.
• Experience of seismic engineering is preferred.
