NUVIA UK's Technical Services department are recruiting for an experienced Lead CS&A Engineer. This is an embedded opportunity, supporting one of our leading clients within the nuclear industry. Location wise, you can be based out of the client's office at Birchwood Park in Warrington, on a hybrid basis. Please note we can also recruit on a permanent basis.

Please note the ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance is essential, as a minimum.

About The Role:

A CS&A Engineer is required to support the delivery of the CS&A elements of the project, in collaboration with other stakeholders and engineering disciplines. The role will involve the following, among others:

• Lead the design delivery of the production of the design delivery of the CS&A elements of the project, collaborating with the other engineering disciplines to meet project objectives and milestones.
• Developing, allocating and supervising delivery of CS&A design deliverables (e.g. designs, assessments, drawings, and reports), checking and approving the output.
• General all round civil and structural design experience required, with experience working on new nuclear build and interfaces with existing structures.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

• Degree qualified CS&A Engineer (or equivalent through enhanced experience).
• Chartered engineer (or close to).

Essential Experience:

• A minimum of three years working within a highly regulated industry.
• Production of CS&A design documents e.g. civil and structural calculations (design/assessment/substantiation), engineering drawings, specifications, scopes of work, method statements.
• Proficient in Steel and Concrete design to current codes.
• Structural seismic assessments and design.
• Structural site surveys, able to assess the condition of steel and concrete structural elements.
• Knowledge of CDM and design responsibilities.
