About the role:

The project entails the Installation of equipment for a Waste handling facility for Nuclear site requiring a Integrated Works Test to test the installation procedures and the operation of the equipment. Nuvia are looking for a number of individuals across Mechanical Fitters, Operatives and Supervisors. This is long term work and looking to start later this year.

Main Duties

·         Ensure that the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of building maintenance is completed in line with our contractual obligations.

·         Ensure all assets are maintained in accordance with SFG20 and manufacturer’s instructions.

·         Co-ordinate with sub-contractors where applicable

·         Ensure that all reactive calls are completed in line with our contractual obligations.

·         Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and Company policy. (Fire regulations, COSHH, Safe working practices, PPE, PAT testing etc)

·         Take a proactive approach to reporting all defects and additional works.

·         Keep all plant/rooms / services enclosures clean, tidy safe and secure.

·         To work effectively with planners, team leaders and supervisors to deliver an exceptional customer service.

·         Attend and contribute at stakeholder meetings as required.

·         To attend and fully participate in all training and appraisals as required.

·         Assist other engineers / staff with their duties as required.

·         Undertake any ad-hoc duties that may be necessary during your working shift.

·         Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in

·         Isolation of high- and low-pressure system in line with client procedures

What we are looking for

·         NVQ 3 or equivalent in mechanical maintenance and/or fitting, mechanical pipe fitting

·         Experience in steam systems, maintenance and operations is desirable.

·         Experience in plumbing and complex waters systems is desirable.

·         Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer-based system. Ability to effectively prioritise own workload.

·         Flexibility and adaptability to change / flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).

·         Pro-active and positive approach to work.

·         Must have sound interpersonal skills and pay attention to detail.

·         Presented in a clean and tidy manner to represent the company, in the most professional manner possible, utilising the uniform and PPE issued.

·         Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress.

·         Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and its application within role.

·         Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.

·         Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.

·         Should be available to join a call out rota.

·         Must hold a full UK driving licence.
