Personnel Vetting Support

Milton Park

£30,000 - £35,000

 

To provide a security administration and advisory service, which achieves the Company’s internal vetting conditions and the standards required by external customer contracts. You will also provide site HR admin support to help Nuvia Limited achieve its business objectives.

Profile

 

Key Accountabilities

  • New employee/contractor vetting – Preparation of paperwork to ensure all staff have the basic level of security required.
  • Upgrades & renewals – Ensuring all staff hold current clearances and action higher levels if necessary. Managing the leavers’ procedure and transfer procedure.
  • Pass applications & renewals – Dealing with new requests and renewals for current staff.
  • Site & overseas visits – Providing employee/visitor security data to external companies and outside agencies
  • Site HR/security administration – Maintaining & updating the HR database.  Overtime pay actions. Monitoring sickness absence at the site. Attending interviews. Day to day running of the security office.
  • Security Policies – Assist the Security Controller in writing/updating the policies & procedures.
  • DSE Assessor – Providing advice to staff who have issues regarding their DSE and updating their records as required.
  • To provide personnel security support to the security department in completing the onboarding processes to the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and to engage with customer sites to ensure personnel security requirements are met.
  • To initiate and assist in the management and aftercare of National Security Vetting (NSV) clearances, inclusive of CTC, SC and DV

 

Occupational Skills and Knowledge

Relevant GCSE’s or equivalent Qualifications



Required Technical Competence

  • Experience and knowledge of onboarding and vetting processes in the Defence and Civil Nuclear industries
  • New employee/contractor vetting – Preparation of paperwork to ensure all staff have the basic level of security required.
  • Upgrades & renewals – Ensuring all staff hold current clearances and action higher levels if necessary. Managing the leavers’ procedure and transfer procedure.
  • Pass applications & renewals – Dealing with new requests and renewals for current staff.
  • Site & overseas visits – Providing employee/visitor security data to external companies and outside agencies



Duties and Requirements

Experience of the UK’s security procedure, organisations and regulators would be an advantage.

 

Essential

  • Ideally experienced within a similar nature role within a highly regulated environment
  • Experience of supporting project delivery
  • Ability to coordinate sometimes complex information or feedback
  • Experience of administrative / advisory role within a specialist field of knowledge
  • 5 GCSE grades A to C
  • Over 3 years’ experience in a similar nature role
  • Be able to attain an NSV clearance
  • Computer literate


Desirable skills

  • Ideally experienced within  a similar nature role within a highly regulated environment
  • Experience of the UK’s security procedures, organisations and regulators
