Job Title: Sales Director – Nuvia UK’s EPC&P Business Line  


Purpose of the job


Accountable for Identifying, developing and securing sales of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects and Programme Management Services across the UK and selected international nuclear sectors.

Reports to

Managing Director, EPC&P business line.

Key Accountabilities

·         Build relationships with key clients, develop opportunities and identify routes to market.

·         Establish an intimate understanding of Nuvia UK’s capabilities, track record and experience.

·         Ensure the EPC&P business is aware of and positioned to tender for all relevant UK-based opportunities.

·         Work with the Nuvia International Team to similarly position for international opportunities

·         Establish opportunities for the preparation of Value Propositions outside of published procurements.

·         Develop high-level execution plans for emerging prospects including intra- & inter-company collaboration

·         Prepare Sales and Strategic Capture Plans for key prospects and communicate internally for action.

·         Ensure EPC&P are ‘ahead of the curve’ with the ‘right team for the right tender’ on all prospects

·         Operate to the full requirements of the Company’s Business Development and Tendering Procedures;

·         Look at opportunities to develop new products and services and identify prospective acquisition targets

·         Achieve order intake targets in-line with EPC&P’s annual budgets and look-ahead forecasts

·         Manage Contacts and Prospects via our Customer Relationship management tool (SalesfForce), ensuring details are up to date.

·         Liaison with other individuals and departments within Nuvia such as marketing, tendering and procurement; provide market intelligence in the preparation of quotations, proposals and tenders;

·         Demonstrate strong understanding of the strategies and capabilities of key competitors and suppliers.

·         Monitor Customer satisfaction and capture feedback, both formal and informal for internal reporting.


Occupational Skills and Knowledge

·         Self-motivated and self-starting individual with experience of the UK nuclear industry and key customers

·         Degree qualified or related work experience: ideally within a science or engineering discipline.

·         Experience of sales management in engineering services, consultancy and/or project delivery

·         Excellent verbal and writing skills honed on developing successful quotations, proposals and tenders

·         Good customer relationship and account management experience within the UK nuclear industry

·         Strong team-worker who can establish consensus in multi-faceted engineering & construction environment


Duties and Requirements


·         Extensive travel in the UK and occasionally oversees to maintain relationships and identify opportunities

·         Development and maintenance of key client contacts and broader zippering plans for senior interactions

·         Identify, develop opportunities and closing out sales for EPC&P across the UK market, both through published procurement plans, but more importantly through development of relationships and business understanding

·         Create opportunities to develop new products and services using the building blocks of EPC&P recent track record and experience.

·         Work closely with other Nuvia UK business lines and the Key Account Managers to ensure EPC&P is strongly positioned for emergent opportunities.

·         Liaise with other Business Development Managers across the market to identify opportunities for strategic collaboration, joint ventures and co-bidding opportunities

·         Work with other EPC&P directorates, Nuvia UK Procurement and Tendering functions to identify supply-chain partners, make/by decisions.

·         Produce, communicate and establish formal internal buy-in, in a timely manner, to opportunity-specific Capture Plans

·         Where appropriate, establish Memoranda of Understanding to secure exclusive bidding arrangements in advance of invitations to tender to ensure Nuvia UK EPC&P is in the best bidding position.

·         Write and develop, in conjunction with the Tendering Team, compelling value propositions, quotations, proposals and tenders to support Nuvia’s growth ambitions within the EPC&P market in the UK and selective international opportunities

·         Act as the main point of contact for clients for all non-contractual matters and provide an independent voice of the customer role during the execution of projects.
