Description of the assignment

Purpose of the job

The HR Administrator supports all areas of HR in the delivery of people solutions to the wider Nuvia business.

HR Manager

 

Key Accountabilities

Administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties, including but not limited to:

  • Management of the HR and Pensions Inbox.
  • Processing of new starters, through tasks such as creating offer letters and written statement of particulars, updating the relevant company systems and transacting appropriate benefits.
  • Processing of leavers, through tasks such as resignation acknowledgement, updating company systems ahead of leave date and carrying out exit interviews.
  • Processing of changes to employees’ terms and conditions in line with payroll and business led deadlines.
  • Processing of payroll changes including liaising with payroll, providing solutions to employee payroll queries and importing payment into the bank for review and approval.
  • Processing of purchase orders to support the HR function in timely payment of invoices.
  • Processing of Sickness Absence, through the review data / forms received across the business & ensure pay data is correct ahead of payroll deadlines. Escalating absence concerns to the respective business areas’ HR Manager or HR Advisor.
  • Running of scheduled and adhoc reports to support the HR team, including reports such as diary notes, long service reporting, group (VINCI) reporting, outstanding return to work discussions and any other basic HR reports.
  • Supporting the business with adhoc HR tasks, such as the cycle to work scheme and healthcare scheme administration.
  • Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR function.

 

Required Technical Competence:

  • Organised and methodical approach to administration.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent data entry skills.

 

Profile

Occupational Skills and Knowledge

  • CIPD Accredited (Desirable skill) or working towards.
  • Essentially a determination to build a career in HR.

 

Duties and Requirements

Essential skills:

  • Practical administrative experience.
  • Good level of Numeracy & literacy required - GCSE or equivalent.
  • Honesty, integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills reflected within customer service, emails, letters and report delivery.
  • Methodical and flexible approach to work, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritise and plan work activities using time efficiently.
  • Able to work autonomously, under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Team worker and customer focused.
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Office 365 mainly Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Solution focused when faced with problems to make reasonable decisions.
  • Ability to communicate and build rapport with colleagues at all levels of the business.

 

Desirable skills:

  • Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify potential issues.
  • Setting self-targets to achieve objectives.
  • Able to improve performance through management feedback.
