Senior Project Engineer

Supporting one of our key clients we are seeking a Senior Project Engineer. Using your experience in facility upgrade or infrastructure projects, you will manage the delivery of heavy civils infrastructure designs and work with users and other stakeholders to ensure that the integrated facility is delivered to time, cost, and quality for the sustainment capability.  You will use your Project Management expertise to ensure that the design meets the technical and operational requirements of the facility.

 

 

Responsibilities

As the Senior Project Engineer you will also be involved in:

  • Support the Package Manager who is responsible for the delivery of multiple sub-packages.
  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure deliverables meet stringent quality criterium by leading sub-packages through governance processes.
  • Responsible for working with schedule, commercial, cost and risk management functions to ensure that design packages are delivered to time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Assist with the technical and project team in the development of requirements, project scope and solutions for specific work packages.
  • Translate supply chain reporting into useable data to inform planning, monitoring and control of work packages.
  • Manage input to cost and budget monitoring.
  • Documentation and deliverable management.
  • Manage the risk process including the identification, assessment, planning and implementation of risks, opportunities, and issues.
  • Assist with administering the NEC contract using CEMAR.
  • Frequent travel to design consultants’ offices.

Profile

Qualification & Experiences 

To be considered for the Senior Project Engineer role you should have:

  • Degree or higher qualification in engineering, project management, or similar.
  • Experience of project or design management, ideally within an infrastructure delivery.
  • Experienced managing and administering NEC4 contracts.
  • Happy to travel to site or suppliers across the UK as required.
  • Previous experience working on a Nuclear Licenced site, delivering nuclear safety implicated structures, equipment, or services (desirable).
  • APM project management qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • NEC4 project manager accreditation (desirable).
